The Meaning Behind Logos.
At Logos, we believe wellness begins with meaning.
We help individuals and organizations reconnect with purpose, rebuild emotional balance, and lead with compassion.
Our approach blends neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and ACT to create lasting, meaningful change.
Our Philosophy: Human-Centered and Trauma-Informed
We understand that people don’t exist in isolation — we exist in systems.
When one part of the system is overwhelmed, disconnected, or under pressure, everything feels off balance.
That’s why our work focuses on helping clients — both individuals and organizations — build resilience, regulation, and trust.
We don’t believe in quick fixes or surface-level wellness.
We believe in slow, grounded healing and leadership that starts from within.
Our Founder
Dr. Brandy Tiernan, PhD, founded Logos to bridge science and compassion.
As a cognitive neuroscientist, consultant, and wellness coach, she brings over a decade of experience studying how the brain processes emotion, regulation, and executive function — and how those insights translate to daily life, work, and leadership.
Dr. Tiernan’s approach is rooted in both research and lived experience.
She integrates trauma-informed, values-based, and meaning-driven methods to help clients thrive — not through perfection, but through self-awareness, connection, and authenticity.
Her belief is simple:
“Wellness isn’t just the absence of struggle.
It’s the ability to create meaning — even in the middle of it.”
We support:
Individuals navigating anxiety, chronic stress, or burnout.
Professionals seeking clarity, confidence, and emotional regulation.
Leaders and teams striving to create psychologically safe and inclusive workplaces.
Organizations committed to trauma-informed growth and sustainable change.
Based in Williamsburg, Iowa, we proudly serve Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and surrounding communities — offering both in-person and virtual sessions statewide.
Who We Serve
Our Methods
Our work combines:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – understanding and reshaping thought patterns.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – regulating emotions and tolerating distress.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) – living in alignment with core values.
Functional Psychoanalytic Insight – uncovering unconscious patterns that influence relationships, motivation, and self-worth.
This integrated model builds resilience across mind, body, and community — supporting both personal wellness and organizational well-being.

Whether you’re looking for individual wellness coaching or organizational consulting, we’d love to connect.
Let’s build something that lasts — grounded in science, compassion, and meaning.
